The mansion was built in the 19th century as a whim of the family’s ancestors, who were antique and art collectors and wanted to build a villa with a garden of delights, for their own relaxation and amusement.
Mon Plaisir was a noble dwelling in the surroundings of Trapani, just on the edge of the city. Over the years, the countryside was absorbed by the expanding city and during the 1950s the estate lands were divided up for development.
Today, Giardini Mon Plaisir is back with renewed splendor.
It features the original mansion house, an elegant garden with centuries-old trees and flowerbeds, herbs and medicinal plants and a vegetable garden producing fresh fruit. The mansion was carefully renovated, keeping its original splendor and details.
